Flexible funding options

Fully-insured

You pay a premium, we cover the rest. With a fully-funded option, Florida Blue assumes responsibility for all covered health care expenses. This limits the financial risk for your business and simplifies budgeting for benefits.

Balanced funding

If you’re looking for predictable costs with opportunities to save, balanced funding may be right for your business. Fixed monthly payments help you budget and reduce risk, with the potential for annual refunds if claims are lower than expected.

Self-funded

With a self-funded plan, you only pay administrative costs to Florida Blue. Then, you manage the rest, from benefits design to claims cost. This option gives you more flexibility and can help you save. To learn more about funding options, contact our Sales team to arrange a consultation.

Health benefit plans have limitations and exclusions.  The amount of benefits provided depends on the plan selected and the premium may vary with the amounts of benefits selected.

Florida Blue offers only the health benefit plan to be used in conjunction with the Health Savings Account (HSA). An HSA is an individual's account to manage with our preferred administrator or a qualified financial institution or trustee of their choice.
