How the Affordable Care Act Affects Your 2015 Tax Return

Starting with the 2014 tax year, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires all taxpayers to indicate whether they were enrolled in health care coverage as part of their annual federal tax return. In addition, taxpayers who received financial assistance to purchase coverage in the Marketplace are required to reconcile the amount of assistance received with their actual final household income.
