It’s been a devastating hurricane season so far, and tens of thousands of people have had their homes, businesses and belongings swept away by heavy flooding and extreme winds.

We have donated to relief efforts for Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and now it’s time to help once more. Florida Blue and the Florida Blue Foundation are donating $50,000 to support relief and recovery efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands after Hurricane Maria devastated those areas.
We encourage our community to help by making a contribution to the American Red Cross, a trusted partner in emergency assistance. You can easily give as much or as little as you want. Simply select a donation amount (or create your own), select the “disaster relief” option from the drop down menu and complete your payment information.
By donating to the American Red Cross, you’re helping them:
  • Mobilize volunteers and relief supplies to help those in need;
  • Deploy relief supplies such as water, rice, beans, ready-to-eat meals, clean-up kits, home repair kits, tarps, trash bags, insect repellant, hand sanitizer, work gloves and more; and
  • Operate and supporting emergency shelters.
As we hope for a quiet remainder of the hurricane season, please consider helping those currently in need.
