There are so many wonderful communities throughout Florida … all of them unique. And while many thrive, there are under-resourced neighborhoods that experience economic disparities. In recognizing this, we supported underserved populations for more than 20 years. Led by the Florida Blue Foundation, we’re continually working to improve food security, health equity, mental well-being and addressing health disparities.
In 2021 we launched the Growing Resilient Communities initiative to help improve prosperity and reduce generational poverty in five ZIP codes throughout the state. This initiative identifies critical communities of need and partners with organizations and local residents to build cross-sector collaboration with government, nonprofits, faith institutions and local businesses to address health, education, housing and many other needs.
