Florida Blue members with Individual or Family Plans
(not through your job) now have:
Extended Time to Pay
During this challenging time, we want you to take care of yourself and your family and not worry about losing your health coverage. We’ve extended the time available that our members have to pay premiums. So even if your payment becomes past due or is already late, you’ll have additional time to make payments through July 31. All past due amounts and your August premium are due by August 1.
New Ways to Pay
Members now have a new way to pay. At your request, we can now accept credit cards for monthly payments in addition to debit cards, checks, money orders and cash. Now, you can choose the payment method that works best for your budget and situation. And you can change your payment method whenever you like. Just log on at floridablue.com or the Florida Blue mobile app and follow the steps.
More Rewards to Help with Your Premium
NEW! If you have an individual Affordable Care Act plan, or if you want to switch to one, you can earn big rewards. Through Better You Strides, our online health and wellness program, every adult covered under your plan can now earn up to $500 (a $400 increase) in rewards toward the premium each year and we’ve made it faster to earn. So, if four people on the plan qualify and do the wellness programs, they could save up to $2,000 toward their premiums this year! Each member will need to log in or create a member account on floridablue.com, then click Better You Strides. All rewardable activities will be clearly marked with the dollar amount you can earn.
Plus, we’re now offering this program to eligible members of all commercial Fully Insured Employer Group health plans and eligible members with non-ACA Individual coverage. Starting June 1, eligible members can earn up to $300 in 2020 towards health care services costs.
Anyone who has lost coverage or is earning less than before
(even if you’re not a current Florida Blue member):
See If You Qualify for a Different Plan or Help Paying Your Premium
For those who may have lost a job, lost the health coverage you had through your job or are earning less due to COVID-19, our agents can help. We can find out if you qualify for financial help to pay your premium (also called a subsidy). If you already get a subsidy, you may now qualify for a higher one. Or maybe you just want to find a more affordable plan to better fit your budget.
