Are you planning on keeping your 2017 plan for next year, too? Read the top three questions to keep in mind.

Q: Should I do anything to prepare for keeping my same plan in 2018?

A: Yes. You’ll want to review and understand your policy details. Plans change a little every year, so make sure you keep up with what’s new or different. Look for a renewal letter with all of the details about your 2018 coverage. If you have questions about any of the information in the letter, feel free to call us. We’re here to help any way we can.

Q: How can I stay informed about how much things are going to cost?

A: Download the Florida Blue mobile app to check benefits whenever you need them. Get an at-a-glance look to compare costs before you go to the doctor or pharmacy, find out where you are on meeting your deductible and out-of-pocket maximums, review your claims, and see how much you’ve saved by having coverage in the first place. And if you forget your ID card at home, yYou can pull up a copy on your phone.

Q. How do I know what kind of plan I need?

A: Florida Blue agents can help you review all of your choices based on your needs and budget, so you can decide what’s best for you and your family. Call 1-855-819-3215, or your health insurance agent. You can also learn more at ‘About Health Care Reform’ or, stop in to a Florida Blue Center. Find locations here

Keep in mind: if you’re healthy, you can use your health insurance benefits for no-cost services like annual health checkups, mammograms and other preventive services. When you get sick, your health insurance helps cover a big portion of the costs for doctor visits, prescription drugs, medical tests, hospital visits, and other types of treatments.
