Don’t Take a Fall this Fall
Each year, one in three older adults experiences a fall. Falls can lead to serious injuries, so it’s important to prevent them. Use the following tips to stay safe:
- Remove electrical cords and loose items from walkways.
- Have your eyes checked at least once a year.
- Install handrails and grab bars near steps and in showers and tubs.
- Wear low-heeled shoes with skid-resistant soles.
