David Pizzo

David Pizzo is Florida Blue’s Market President, West Florida Region, overseeing operations in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Sarasota, Manatee, Lee, and other western counties south to Collier. Prior to this role, Pizzo served as Florida Blue’s Vice President, advertising, brand management and market communications since 1997. Prior to joining Florida Blue in 1997, Pizzo served as SVP for Commonhealth (now Ogilvy CommonHealth), the world’s largest health care marketing communications firm. He is currently involved with a number of business, civic, and philanthropic organizations throughout the region including American Heart Association Tampa Bay Metro Board, United Way Suncoast (2015 Campaign Cabinet Chair), Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation (2013 Chair), Tampa Bay Partnership Council of Governors, MacDill AFB Honorary Commander, St. Leo University Advisory Board, USF MUMA College of Business Advisory Board, CEO Council of Tampa Bay, The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and American Cancer Society CEOs Against Cancer. Pizzo holds a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration in marketing and international business from NYU’s Stern Business School.
