CEOs Against Cancer is a powerful group of executives committed to saving lives and improving their company's bottom line. CEOs from the world's top companies are uniting to change the course of cancer to leverage the collective knowledge, power and resources of the American Cancer Society.

Florida Blue Pat Geraghty, along with market presidents Darnell Smith, Tony Jenkins, Dave Pizzo and Penny Schaffer, are participating in the American Cancer Society’s Fit2BeCancerFree 2017 CEOs Challenge. Today they are competing against other business leaders throughout the country to see who can take the most steps in an effort to bring awareness to cancer prevention through an active lifestyle. About half of all cancer deaths could be prevented by living a healthy lifestyle, according the American Cancer Society.

Our leaders will be wearing Garmin activity trackers which are synced to a live leaderboard displaying the top performers in the challenge hosted at www.cancer.org. In addition to helping promote healthy living and physical activity, proceeds from the entry fees into the challenge will help fund projects for the 2017 CEOs Against Cancer program.

We are glad to see our leaders out and about getting in their steps.  We are cheering them on as they remind others that being active is among the best ways to achieve better health.
