How can I compare medical costs?

You have choices when it comes to the cost of your health care. The quality and price of medical services can vary depending on where you go for office visits, imaging services and surgery, including inpatient and outpatient care. Compare quality and cost before you go and then decide what’s best for your care.

How can I save money on prescription costs?

There are plenty of ways to save money on prescriptions with your Florida Blue plan:

  • Compare costs of your medication in your member account online or in the Florida Blue app so you know you're paying the lowest amount. Go to MyPrime after you log in.
  • Check other options to lower your cost. Many pharmacies offer common prescriptions like blood pressure medications for as low as $0.
  • Many insulin drugs for diabetes are available for as low as $0 - $5 for a 30-day supply, or $0 - $10 for a 90-day home delivery supply.2
  • Certain generic contraceptives are as low as $0 for many women.
  • Use home delivery for medications you take for 90 days to save money and a trip to the pharmacy.
    • Many generic maintenance drugs for diabetes, asthma, depression, high blood pressure or high cholesterol are available as low as $0 for a three-month supply using Florida Blue’s home delivery service.
    • You can also sign up with Amazon Pharmacy directly.
  • Find your Medication Guide to see what drugs are covered under your plan.

Are there ways to save on specialty medications?

Yes! There are two programs that help many members who buy plans on the Marketplace or have health coverage through their employer save money.

  • Advocate+TM Pharmacy Match connects eligible members with a pharmacy in their network to fill their specialty prescriptions at a low cost.3
    • Eligible members are automatically enrolled in Advocate+ Pharmacy Match.
  • FlexAccess Standard helps members find copay (what you pay at the pharmacy for medications) savings for some specialty medications.3
    • Many members may be able to lower their cost share to $35 or less for certain medications.
    • Eligible members can call 1-888-302-3618 to sign up for FlexAccess.4
