We know hunger is a critical need during this challenging time. So, we are committed to working with community partners, to contribute the equivalent of over 1 million meals in West Florida.

Our donations are part of a $2 million initial investment we made to address urgent health and safety needs across the state as a result of the crisis. In Sarasota and DeSota Counties, All Faiths Food Bank recieved  $25,000, an equivalent of over 125,000 meals.

200,000 meals were made available to assist Southwest Florida  residents via the Harry Chapin Food Bank. A donation of an additional 500,000 meals to Feeding Tampa Bay.  Earlier this year, we provided $750,000 in grants to the organization to launch three new initiatives to eliminate hunger in Tampa Bay by 2025.

“Florida Blue is collaborating with leaders and organizations across west Florida to address critical needs facing our neighbors. These organizations are an essential lifeline to thousands in our community who suddenly find themselves out of work due to the COVID-19 health crisis.” David Pizzo, Florida Blue's West Florida market president.
