Purchasing essential health items, putting healthy food on the table, and paying for out-of-pocket expenses can be challenging. That’s why some Florida Blue Medicare Advantage plans offer allowances to help pay for things like healthy foods, over-the counter (OTC) items, out-of-pocket healthcare costs for covered dental, hearing and vision care and earn reward dollars for things like completing your Annual Health Risk Assessment, Annual well visits, and more.
The Blue Dollars card is easy to use!
The Blue Dollars card is a prepaid card you can use to pay for any dental, vision or hearing, healthy food+*, over-the-counter (OTC) items, and services beyond your plan benefits. The card can be used to cover things like dentures, sunglasses, extra hearing support devices or other qualifying costs that go beyond your plan’s benefits. Your plan determines which allowances you will receive on your Blue Dollars Card. This card is in addition to the benefits and discounts already available to you. This is not a replacement for existing coverage. Please reference your Evidence of Coverage (EOC) to see your full breakdown of benefits.

*Dual Eligible Special Needs (DSNP) Plans: Eligibility for the monthly healthy food allowance will be determined at the time of enrollment, based on LIS also known as “Extra Help”. Unused monthly food allowance does not roll over to the next month.
