Register Now For The 2018 Community Health Symposium
This year, the Florida Blue Foundation will celebrate 13 years of presenting the Sapphire Awards to individuals, programs and organizations in community health and social programs. The Foundation honors these leading organizations at its annual Community Health Symposium. The first set of honorees were in 2005 and since that year, 88 Sapphire Awards, totaling more than $4.2 million, have been awarded to individuals, programs and organizations across Florida. Registration is now open for this year’s Community Health Symposium and Sapphire Awards, which will be held on May 3 - 4 at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. The symposium is a great professional development and networking conference for anyone involved in community health and non-profit work.
This year’s theme is Big Issues in Health, which is an exciting and timely topic. During the symposium you will hear from diverse and inspirational speakers like Billy Shore, founder and Executive Chairman of Share our Strength, an organization that runs the national campaign No Kid Hungry. Learn how they are working to solve the problems of hunger and poverty around the world.
Other dynamic presenters and speakers include national, regional and Florida-based experts on a variety of health and social issues affecting communities, including GuideWell and Florida Blue CEO, Pat Geraghty, Lecia Brooks of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Feeding Florida’s Robin Safley.
