Amish Patel

Amish Patel serves as GuideWell’s chief information officer (CIO), bringing more than two decades of experience leading large‑scale technology transformations, enterprise modernization, and AI‑enabled innovation across health care, financial services, and insurance. 

In his role as CIO, Patel oversees the strategic vision, execution, and performance of the technology ecosystem across the GuideWell family of companies. His responsibilities span architecture, development, engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, platforms, data, analytics and operations. Under his leadership, technology investments are directed toward accelerating growth, reducing risk, and improving customer, member, and employee experiences.

Patel is actively engaged in community and nonprofit leadership, with a focus on advancing health, education, and economic opportunity. He serves on boards and advisory groups dedicated to strengthening communities and is a strong advocate for mentoring future leaders. His community involvement reflects his belief that technology and leadership should ultimately serve people and improve lives.

Patel holds an MBA in strategy and finance from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan‑Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from UNC Charlotte.
