Track Shack and Growing Bolder have teamed up to announce a strategic partnership promoting the health benefits of running and walking to adults ages 40 and above. This senior award category instills motivation and inspiration, including storytelling, and educational content to encourage healthy living at every age.
The relationship brings together Track Shack’s active lifestyle events and Growing Bolder’s messaging of aging vibrantly. This partnership activates the Growing Bolder Division powered by Florida Blue Medicare beginning next month for the Track Shack Running Series.
Track Shack’s Running Series, in its 45th year, includes six running/walking events that occur annually from August to March. Event distances include 2 mile, 5k (3.1 mile), 5 mile, and 10k (6.2 miles). At each race, the Growing Bolder division powered by Florida Blue Medicare will award finishers age 40+ in overall and age group categories.
“There are times when you know something’s a perfect fit and will impact your life in a positive way. That’s the case with Track Shack and Growing Bolder,” says Jon Hughes, co-owner of Track Shack. “Adding Florida Blue Medicare to this partnership makes this a ‘win-win-win’ that will inspire and motivate everyone to do their best.”
By partnering together, more accessibility to trusted health & fitness experts is available throughout the community, expanding the reach of all three companies. Creation and sharing of educational content will include video tips on training, nutrition, gear, overall wellness, injury prevention, and recovery. Vast resources will be available through Track Shack and Growing Bolder’s network of radio, television, and electronic and social channels.
“Track Shack has been delivering the number one key to happy and healthy aging for decades -- socialization around physical activity,” says Growing Bolder CEO Marc Middleton. “Florida Blue Medicare has been providing quality care tailored to Florida seniors for more than 50 years. The Growing Bolder Division partnership is dedicated to our shared mission – helping adults of all ages make the rest of their life, the best of their life.”
“This is a great collaboration between Florida Blue Medicare, Growing Bolder and Track Shack because it demonstrates how fitness activities, like the Track Shack races, benefit both our physical health and mental well-being. This is such a fun way to stay active and engage with others in our community with similar interests,” said Kathy Feeny, president of Florida Blue Medicare. “It doesn’t matter if you walk or run one or more of the races, volunteer at an event or come cheer on your friends or family who are participating, social activities like these are vital to our overall good health.”
