JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - May 11, 2026

GuideWell, a leading not‑for‑profit health services company, has earned a Great Place To Work® Certification for the first time in its more than 10-year history. The milestone recognizes the Jacksonville-based organization which is parent company to Florida Blue and other healthcare subsidiaries for its commitment to building an exceptional employee experience. The recognition is based entirely on real-time feedback from current employees about what it’s like working at GuideWell. This year, 84% of employees said the company’s a great place to work – compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S. company.

Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to drive business performance, higher employee retention, and increased innovation.

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that GuideWell stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

Building on the people-first legacy of its largest subsidiary, Florida Blue, Florida’s leading health insurer, which earned a Great Place to Work certification for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024, GuideWell is expanding an inclusive culture where employees feel connected, supported, and empowered. Among the factors contributing to GuideWell's certification this year, 93% of employees said that they felt welcomed when they joined the organization, and about 90% of GuideWell team members mentioned they feel good about the way the company contributes to the community.

With more than 15,000 team members across the U.S., GuideWell is championing a performance-driven culture where people feel supported, trusted, and empowered. The company is committed to strengthening employee well-being by:

  • Investing in digital wellness tools to promote resilience and connect employees to resources that support their emotional, physical, and financial health.
  • Using a data-driven approach to identify how managers create high-trust, high-performance environments, developing a Best Manager Index. In 2025, 57% of managers had an index of 80% or higher, a 43% increase from the year prior.
  • Enhancing connection and well-being through its 16 employee resource groups – GuideWell Communities – which foster belonging, leadership, and collaboration.
