Florida Blue will manage the day-to-day operations of your FHCP Medicare plan starting January 1, 2027. Your plan name won’t change, but you will notice some changes like the Florida Blue Medicare logo on your materials, a new member ID card, and a different member website experience.

Both Florida Blue Medicare and FHCP are part of the GuideWell family of companies. We're making this change to improve your experience and better serve you. FHCP remains committed to delivering high-quality care — while Florida Blue Medicare will offer more comprehensive support, and powerful tools to enhance your healthcare journey.

Information about 2027 plans were mailed in late September. Members with FHCP plans that will be offered through Florida Blue Medicare next year received an Annual Notification of Change. This document outlines changes to your benefits and coverage for 2027 and what you can expect. If you did not receive this information, contact Florida Blue Medicare’s Member Service team at at 1-800-926-6565 (TTY: 711).

Florida Blue Medicare will also send you other information throughout the fall to help you understand your 2027 plan. Take time to review your materials. You can also schedule a one-on-one meeting with your agent to discuss your coverage, and we’ll also be hosting member meetings so you can get your questions answered.

Unfortunately, CMS does not allow us to talk about plan changes prior to October 1, for the upcoming new plan year. This includes discussing plan-specific benefits, premiums, and cost-sharing with current members.

Yes, FHCP Medicare members can still see their FHCP staff doctors and will also be able to get services at FHCP clinics, labs and pharmacies. FHCP will continue to provide the high-quality coverage you’ve come to expect. This change allows FHCP to focus even more on providing personalized care to their patients.

While the Florida Blue Medicare and FHCP networks differ, you can continue receiving high-quality, compassionate care from FHCP staff doctors — plus new doctors and facilities close to your home. If your doctor isn’t in our network, we’ll let you know before the end of the Annual Election Periodby mid-October so you can make the best decision for your healthcare needs.
