Jacksonville, Fla. - September 11, 2012

Announced at today’s annual policyholders’ meeting, Frank P. Scruggs, Jr. was elected to serve a three-year term on the Florida Blue Board of Directors. Scruggs, is a partner in the Florida business law firm Berger Singerman, where he practices in the areas of employment law and commercial litigation.

Scruggs has served on the Florida Blue Board of Directors since 1995. He is chair of the board governance and nominating committee, as well as a member of the personnel and compensation committee. He served as Florida's Secretary of Labor and Employment Security and as assistant general counsel to Governor Bob Graham.

In addition to Scruggs, Robert M. Beall, II and Tracy A. Leinbach were elected to three-year terms at today’s policyholders’ meeting.
