We support Tallahassee
On November 2, 2018, an armed man killed two people and wounded at least four others at Hot Yoga Tallahassee. Our deepest sympathies go out to the victims of this senseless act of violence and to their families and loved ones.
In addition, we are heartbroken at the loss of Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, one of our own team members, in the shooting in Tallahassee. Nancy was beloved as chief medical officer for Capital Health Plan, a sister company to Florida Blue. Her passion for improving the health of those around her was an inspiration to her colleagues, friends and the community at large.
Our Florida Blue family stands ready to help the Tallahassee community cope with and begin to heal from this terrible tragedy.
