Late Friday night, December 14, U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor agreed with a coalition of Republican states that, since earlier this year Congress repealed the tax penalty for not having health insurance, the entire Affordable Care Act (ACA) is unconstitutional. Marilu Cristina Flores

Marilu is a veteran of the entertainment industry, her career in entertainment spans over thirteen years having worked with some of the most prominent creative media houses known, including, Warner Brothers, MTV and Universal Pictures. In 2014, she shifted gears to begin working as a digital marketing professional. Prior to her work at Florida Blue, she worked for Keurig in Waterbury, Vermont. Marilu is incredibly passionate about our oceans, wildlife, and conservation, and has been featured as a guest speaker at conferences nationwide for her knowledge and expertise on Marine environments and the issues affecting our oceans. A Miami native, she holds a degree in Tropical Coastal Ecosystem Resource Management from the University of Queensland and currently acts as the Surfrider Foundation's Regional Coordinator in Florida.

Tony Jenkins

Tony is the Market President for the Central Florida Region of Florida Blue. Prior to BCBSF, Jenkins served as Director of Diversity for CSX Corporation, the largest rail network in the eastern United States. Before joining CSX, Jenkins spent 20 years with the Walt Disney World Company in various management roles. Tony is very active in the Orlando Community. He is the past Chair for United Arts of Central Florida and the current board Chair for Florida Institute for Community Studies. He also currently serves on the Boards of The Central Florida Partnership, Orlando Economic Development Commission, Florida Citrus Sports, the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness and he is a Board Trustee at Stetson University. In January, 2014, Tony was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA.

David Pizzo is Florida Blue’s Market President for West Florida. He is responsible for operations and local engagement in 14 counties ranging from Pasco and Hernando counties to Tampa Bay to Southwest Florida. Throughout his career, he has actively supported education including serving on the University of South Florida President’s Council Society and Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, St. Leo University College of Business Advisory Board; USF Muma College of Business Advisory Board and Eckerd College President’s Associates.
